Re: So what's the status of MICO, WICED and the whole EMW3165 module?

WICED 3.4 seems to include quite a few improvements beyond just AWS integration. See CHANGELOG.txt Changes for WICED-SDK 3.4.0 * Applications * snip.mqtt_publisher and snip.mqtt_subscriber replaced with new snip.mqtt app * Improved snip.tftp * Removed Xively support from demo.temp_control as it no l...

Re: New User Introduction, Hi!

Welcome. If you're using WICED, then I suggest joining our gitter.im chat as well (see my signature). It's easier to have back and forth conversations there in real time. If you are interested in MICO, then I suggest contacting sales@mxchip.com. They are very approachable and willing to help and can...

I didn't realize there was a new WICED version. Thanks. I'll look into it at once.
OTA and FR works now. I haven't updated the documentation as I've not fully tested it.

Re: CAN Engine EMW3162

Heh, I hadn't even checked if the EMW3165 has CAN peripherals, just assumed it did for some reason. I just looked at the datasheet for the STM32F411CE and it does indeed lack CAN bus peripherals. Nb... you don't need Keil for anything, though it can perhaps be handy to use the emulator. I pointed ou...

Re: CAN Engine EMW3162

I've not tried it, but as it happens I just got a few CAN bus transceivers in the mail to connect to my EMW316x modules. I'll try it as when I get a chance and report back. Hopefully this weekend.... Poke me to remind me if you don't hear back. Nb. I saw some application note from Keil on hooking th...

Re: EMW3165 photo

Yeah, I think you might be right on the money there... The second unidentified component is very probably a filter... you can so easily trace the path of the radio signal from the antenna selector resistors, through the unidentified component and all the way to the unidentified package in the corner...

Re: EMW3165 photo

Interesting indeed... I had only looked at the photo from the FCC certification before, but it's too low res to make anything out. Can you make out the markings on the SPI flash, in the upper right corner? I'm curious as to the specific spi flash is used, the marking on the schematic doesn't turn up...

Re: Espruino on emw3165 first steps

I just glanced through the thread you linked on the Espruino forums and through the Espruino stm32 source. I think you really mostly need to edit the platform configuration to override the IRQ handlers in the platform definition, except for the ones used by SDIO and I believe FreeRTOS needs systick ...

Re: Espruino on emw3165 first steps

It's doubtful you can easily use the wireless stack without some kind task switching and interrupt management.
Doing it yourself is reinventing the wheel.

That being said, I know absolutely nothing about Espruino or the architecture around it. Can't you run it as a WICED app?
