Flashing EMW3165 Dev board with WiFiMCU

Thanks to oakkar7, here is a recipe for flashing the WiFiMCU firmware to the EMWE-3165 development board. http://www.seeedstudio.com/recipe/418-flashing-emw3165-dev-board-with-wifimcu-firmware.html It uses the original WiFiMCU firmware with the windows tool chain. I think a pin mapping with the WiFi...

Re: EMW3165 + DEV board $16.61

This is designed by the same Doit team of WiFiMCU. ;)

I discussed with them, and think this board is more friendly for the Chinese engineers with the RS232 interface.

Re: MICO disappears from Github

I hope everything goes well with the WICED SDK and the MiCO GCC porting, because it seems the Windows development environment with licensed software is not very popular.

Re: MICO disappears from Github

What I heard about the timeline is the GCC porting target to be done in September. Well, is anyone able to post an EMW3165 recipe now? ;)

Since WiFiMCU team only have a very simple documentation page(demo page), I referring everything to NodeMCU's API. Notice that the baud rate is different as 115200.

Re: WiFiMCU Studio Tool Released

If the programming environment is no difference to nodemcu, I think I will stick with ESPlorer which is already mature.

Re: MicroPython Development Needs a Push!

Amazing...python is what I'm more familiar with. Seems there will be lots of choices on working with the EMW3165 module. Personally I prefer interpreted language so that we don't need heavy IDE or compiler toolchain. :)

That would be wonderful. The lua code base might gradually grow into a big thing for IoT devices. It's a lot easier to start with lua environment than the compiler toolchain.
