Re: Arduino toolchain for Stm32f4

Nb. It should be kept in mind that SPI1 on the EMW3165 is dedicated to the external SPI flash, so it can't be used for anything else, due to assumtions in the code, if you build the Arduino support on top of WICED. Yes. I think the normal build for Arduino on STM32 may not be the way forward with t...

Re: Breadboard Friendly Breakout Board Available

I ordered some about a week ago and I'm waiting for them to turn up in the post. How did you solder your modules down ? I'm slightly concerned about using reflow soldering e.g. heat gun, to solder the module down, because I may have already damaged one module in this way. One of my EMW3165's no long...

Re: EMW3165 Arduino Support

I started to look at creating a new Arduino board for this, and have made some progress, but at the moment the processor is not operating at full speed. The existing code we have is for the F103 which runs at 72Mhz and the F405 and F407 processors which run at 168MHz, where as the F411 runs at 100Mh...

Re: EMW3165 Arduino Support

I finally got my modules up and running the other day, and promptly managed to kill the Wifi on one of them. The STM32F411 core however is still working fine as far as I can tell, well at least STLink communicates with it For those interested, I've done a couple of videos https://www.youtube.com/wat...

Re: IDE to begin

Currently it seems that the only available code uses the IAR compiler / IDE which is commercial and costs $$$ However its possible to develop for STM32F4 on loads of different IDEs. I'm not sure if Eclipse is that easy to setup, you many want to look at EM::Blocks or CooCox as both of these are alre...

Re: Arduino toolchain for Stm32f4

We already have SPI working for STM32F4 in the Arduino IDE, but without docs on the protocol it will be impossible to use it.

Does anyone know if there are any docs for this ?

Re: Broadcom WICED SDK on EMW3165

Did you make any progress compiling using GCC.

I've no received some module, but still need to work out how to wire them up, as I don't have a breakout board. (though I have ordered some from Dirty Cheap PCB's)

Arduino toolchain for Stm32f4

FYI

There are several working toolchains for the STM32F4 using the Arduino ide

I'd be interested to know how the wifi module attaches to the F4, I had a feeling its via SDIO ??

Re: STLink Programmers

There are plenty of STLink clone boards on eBay and AliExpress for around $6 and the all work fine. There are 2 basic hardware designs of these clone boards, one has 2 rows of pins at 90 deg to the board, the other has a plug coming out the opposite end of the board from the USB. To upload you eithe...
