Re: So what's the status of MICO, WICED and the whole EMW3165 module?

Please read the comments on the 3.4 release page you linked to, it clearly says that this is a special AWS release and not a general 3.4 release. I see the messages talking about 3.5, but nothing to download anywhere...

Do you have a link/pointer to the new WICED version? In the forums I only see a version 3.4 that is for AWS IoT only.

EMW3165 photo

In case someone is curious, here's a photo with the shield off. I have to admit that I was surprised by the number of discrete components!

Re: Clock difficulties

Just to close this out: with some help from emilfr I figured out how to configure the clock for the 26Mhz crystal (the nucleo has an 8Mhz crystal).

Clock difficulties

I'm trying to use system start-up code from Espruino's NucleoF411 port and it almost works on the emw3165 except for the system clock initialization. When the start-up code tries to use the main PLL as system clock source the emw3165 resets. Is there a difference in the way the clocks work on the em...

Re: Espruino on emw3165 first steps

Thanks for the encouragement. We do have an Espruino port running on the esp8266. It's still in beta and a bit rough around the edges, but it does work. I will be continuing on the emw3165 because the esp8266 ends up having too little memory and the I/O devices are sub-standard.

Espruino on emw3165 first steps

This past week-end I managed to get Espruino to show some signs of life on an emw3165 using WICED. The approach I took is to compile Espruino against the WICED header files using the arm-none-eabi toolchain that ships with WICED and to link it all into a .o file. I then compiled a stub "main&qu...
