modules

Tue Sep 15, 2015 8:37 am

I'm testing WiFiMCU and it works great with latest firmware.
I'm planning to use it as battery powered device, so I'm interested in some modules and functions which are not presently available:
  • mcu power management (sleep mode)
  • wifi power off
  • RTC module (with alarm)
  • DAC module
  • external sd card support (via SPI)

Could you give me more details about building lua firmware from sources and including my own modules?

Hi,
We are glad to hear you are using WiFiMCU.

The Firmware is compiled with IAR Embedded workbench 7.20, You can add your private modules interface with Lua interpreter just as we have done.
https://github.com/smartarduino/wifimcu

The sdk is based on MICO 2.0 from MXCHIP inc.

The mcu is stm32f411ce, so it's easy to apply functions such as RTC, spi sdcard, power manager management just as general st mcu ...

I hope these could help you

Thank you.
Building the firmware was quite easy. I'm going to try to build some new lua modules now ...

Does it have DAC? So far specs show a block diagram with a DAC but the rest of the pin outs and description mention nothing of it. It impossible to invest in something without more precise details. How long has this module been around?

STM32F411CE used in EMW3165 does not have DAC output!
You can only use PWM to get analog output.
