Initially, The only source for modules is SeeedStudio: http://www.seeedstudio.com/depot/EMW3165-CortexM4-based-WiFi-SoC-Module-p-2488.html which is being sold for $7.95 + shipping, coming out of China.

I am currently in discussion with some distributors on AliExpress to find out if/when they will be making it available there. If anyone finds any other sources, please share here.

There's now a dev board available which comes with the module included. It's similar to the NodeMCU project for the ESP8266.

Developed by DOIT (http://www.smartaduino.com) and available directly from them for just $9.29 + free shipping (if you buy more than 3 of them).

AliExpress still has bare modules for $7.60 minimum, not much less than SeedStudio.
Full WiFiMCU boards are still over $10.

Price will need to go down towards that of ESP8266/NodeMCU for this to catch up, here we're too close to CHIP which can do linux...
